Lovable Priyanka Chopra's biography

Priyanka Chopra is born on 18^th July, 1982 in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.

Her father was Capt. Dr. Ashok Chopra, mother Dr. Madhu Chopra. Her father hailed from a family of Punjabi origin, settled in Bareilly and her mother comes from a family settled in Jamshedpur. She also has a brother, Siddharth, who is seven years younger than she. Her family affectionately called her Mimi.

Chopra spent her childhood in Rae Barreilly, Uttar Pradesh as well as in Lucknow, where she was enrolled in the La Martiniere Girls' School. These frequent re-locations took place as Ashok was a doctor in the Indian Army. She subsequently re-located to the U.S. where she studied in Newton's Newton North High School and then in Cedar Rapid's John F. Kennedy High School in Massachusetts and Iowa respectively.

In 2000 she returned to India and enrolled in Jai Hind College and Basant Singh Institute of Science in Churchgate, Mambai but had to leave abruptly as she was crowned Miss India.

Priyanka Chopra came in second place at Femina Miss India 2000 competition winning the Femina Miss India World title and subsequently being sent to Miss World where she was crowned Miss World 2000.

On December 12, 2009, Chopra was present as a judge for the Miss World 2009 competition held in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Priyanka Chopra made her debut in the 2002 tamil film Thamizhan playing the role of Priya, the love interest of the protaginist in the film played by Vijay. The film was praised for its wit, although the depth of Chopra's character was seen as lacking.

Then she appeared in her first Bollywood film, opposite Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta in the Anil Sharma film 'The Hero' in 2002. She works as a playback singer in 'Barsaat (2005)'.

5 feet 8 inches tall, Priyanka Chopra has won 11 awards to date for her performance in 'Andaaz', 'Aitraaz', 'The Hero', 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi',  'Krrish' and 'Fashion'.

Priyanka is yet to prove herself as an actress of substance but she is doing well for herself as a glamour doll with a sexy pout.

Priyanka's rumoured but mediacentric romantic 'affair' with handsome hero Akshay Kumar was reported in headlines during the making of Aitraaz. It was denied by both stars with denials printed in leading newspapers. Still, Akshay-Priyanka are described as a Star Jodi for 2004!

Priyanka was dating with Hurman Baweja. Later they break thier relation.

The recent rumourmongers were Priyanka Chopra romanticly affair with Shahid Kapoor. Shahid and Priyanka have not made their relationship public but that doesn't mean that people are blind to their affair. They have been spotted together at various hot spots and the latest been their secret outing for coffee. It's reported that Shahid hired a whole floor to have coffee with Priyanka.

Bollywood news says that Priyanka Chopra has acquired a swollen head and that has created problems with many producers. As a result, she was out of Benaam made by Dinesh Patel, and Tango Charlie made by Nitin Manmohan.
